- Malé area (Malé, Hulhumalé, Villimalé): 1–2 days
- Nearby atolls (Kaafu, Alif Alif, Alif Dhaal): 2–4 days by speedboat
- Outer atolls: 5–10 days via domestic air or inter-atoll ferry
- Addu and Fuvahmulah: 3–6 days, usually by air
