Welcome to SwipeM. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you don't agree, please don't use SwipeM.
1. About SwipeM
SwipeM is an online marketplace operated as part of the swipe.mv ecosystem. We connect buyers with independent merchants across the Maldives. We are not the seller of the products listed — merchants are responsible for their own listings, fulfilment, and customer service.
2. Your account
To buy or sell on SwipeM you need a Swipe account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Don't share them. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Buying
When you place an order, you enter a purchase contract directly with the merchant, not with SwipeM. Prices, product descriptions, and shipping terms are set by the merchant. Payment is processed through Swipe.
Buyer protection
If an item arrives damaged, missing, or materially different from its description, you can file a dispute within 7 days of delivery via your order detail page. We'll mediate between you and the merchant and can order refunds where appropriate.
4. Selling
Merchants agree to list accurate product information, fulfil orders in a timely manner, and honour their stated return and shipping policies. Listing prohibited items (weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, etc.) will result in account suspension.
Commission
SwipeM charges a 5% commission on each completed sale. Commissions are deducted automatically from payouts. Other fees may apply to premium features; these are always disclosed in advance.
5. Content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you submit to SwipeM (product listings, reviews, messages). By submitting content, you grant SwipeM a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute that content on our platform.
Don't upload content that infringes copyright, is defamatory, or violates the privacy of others.
6. Prohibited activity
- Fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
- Harassment or abuse of other users
- Circumventing fees or payment systems
- Automated scraping or data mining without permission
- Interfering with site operation or security
7. Disclaimers
SwipeM is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, SwipeM is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
